Finance/ Transparency

Ten things that a donor may want to know

1. We finance and obtain funding by: volunteers, fund-raising, public donation, assistant living sliding scale rent from survivors, membership fees to the day program, private funding, Federal and Community based grants. We accept gifts of Real Estate Donations

2. Generally, when Survivors reach two years after injury, Insurance usually no longer pays for services like physical therapy, speech therapy, behavioral therapy, occupational therapy and there aren’t any social groups for Survivors.

3. People with TBI or ABI will feel like they are isolated and that people don’t care about them.

4. Survivors feel that their life does matter even though they are now disabled.

5. TBI is a serious public health concern that results in death and disability for thousands of people each year.

6. Survivors feel guilty when asking their loved ones to take them places to attend events if they cannot get there on their own.

7. We will keep posts on the website current regarding our financial status and where we received funding from.

8. The funds will be used for the Wednesday program and any special activities that we may plan.

9. Our plan is to buy a property to build a facility or remodel an existing structure with the long term goal of expanding to Southern California and San Francisco. This will make each facility within about 3 hours driving distance for loved ones to visit with the ultimate goal of at least one in every state.

10. Our 990 form will be posted each year on this website by our Accountant and The Center will operate the daily accounting with the CRM Financial Program Software.
